Soffit, fascia,wall flashing and eavestrough (gutter) project in Oakville

 There are pictures of our recent project in Oakville Ontario that has been completed by Maxima Aluminum LTD.

 Homeowner requested free estimate to replace the soffit, fascia and eavestrough (gutter) system at his property. We were able to schedule an appointment at his earlier convenience.

 At the time of estimate we discussed with homeowner condition of existing soffit and fascia, eavestroughing system, as well as condition shingled roof. We discovered many trouble-spots : downspout that drain on a shingle, blown off fascia trim, different colors fascias, locations of downspouts that can be improved, leaking corners and etc.

Left side gable had missing  (blown off) aluminum fascia trim and wood fascia board was short about 2-3 inches.

The inside corner was constantly dripping water.

Rear gable had different color and shape fascia board trim.

We provided homeowner with our certificates and insurance policy,  detailed written estimate form, warranty information and color options as well as 5 neighborhood addresses with homeowner names and phone numbers as a reference samples of our recently completed jobs.

Homeowner called us in 2 days, saying that he had checked some of referred addresses and seen our jobs, and he would like to go ahead with Maxima Aluminum LTD even when our price is slightly (but not significantly) higher from other company’s quotes he had received. So we met the same day and discussed the color and material options, as well as completion dates.

Homeowner decided to make the eavestrough and soffit color closely matching to the windows and garage color (white), We offered 3 different whites to choose from. Color was picked, date was scheduled and the job began : working team removed all existing eavestrough an downspouts first, then they removed fascias and soffits, after they checked all wooden fascia and roof rafters condition, replaced over-cut fascia board wood at left gable and started to install new  soffit.

 Vented soffit installed all around the house to provide a proper attic ventilation except

front porch overhead were is no ventilation

required. All boxed gables are properly closed to prevent future birds or squealers access and sealed with proper silicon.

5inch seamless aluminum eavestrough ( gutter )

system with hidden screw-in brackets hangers installed and  3×3 inch square aluminum  downspouts. Upper left drain pipe connected directly to the lower garage eavestrough to prevent premature roof shingle wear.

Eavestrough is overlapping roof shingles by 1/2 inch to prevent excessive dripping.

Wood fascia replaced with proper length and covered with aluminum fascia trim, sealed with caulking.

Rear eavestrough and downspout after

Downspout relocated to the side wall – doesn’t attract attention and doesn’t drain on a walk-out  patio stones.

Both downspouts relocated to the side walls, rear gable fascia board is properly finished and sealed.

Roof wall-flashing is also finished in white to match windows, soffit and eavestrough.
Also major cleanup was performed to eliminate all remaining scrap metal and debris leftover.

After completion, homeowner was asked to do the walk-through job checkup with crew leader to make sure it meets all the standards and expectations as well as satisfaction level. Written warranty with receipt provided  upon completion.
