Repair Wind Gamage Eavestrough
Here is some “Before and After” images of emergency eavestrough repair that was done recently in Mississauga.
We received a call from a customer saying that last night high winds blew off an eavestrough section at rear of their townhouse unit. Same-day appointment was scheduled. At first, we thought it was a very common in strong winds conditions – downspout detach. But we were wrong – entire unit-related eavestrough section become detach and was hanging from an almost brand new, 5 year old townhouse roof.
Luckily, no other damages were done and no one got hurt. After quick look we were able to find the cause – “spike and ferrule” – outdated gutter secure method + original eavestrough installers put spikes to far apart. Also some of the spikes were not even properly nailed-in to the fascia board but just bent inside the eavestrough canal, causing wind damage to eavestroughs.
After estimating cost – many aspects were involved : emergency situation, very hard to access fenced backyard and height, we agreed with homeowners on a fare and reasonable price to replace damaged eavestough section with a new, exact color match on the next day.
As we promised, brand new eavestrough section was installed on the next day :
